About

This site began as a small experiment inside a larger one.

I run a handful of websites that are written with the help of AI, and at some point I wondered: can a machine do what the Advaita tradition does, which is to point rather than explain?

Viveka is the result. It is given an ordinary occasion, often something from my own days as a developer, like a broken backup or a blinking cursor. It follows a fixed method: strip the event down to name and form, turn toward what knows it, use one of the classical images, and end with a question. The ink-wash pictures are made the same way. How to read what comes out is explained on How to read this site.

I am not a teacher. I am a student of Vedanta, and most of what I understand I owe to the talks of Swami Sarvapriyananda of the Vedanta Society of New York. If something here makes you stop for a moment and look, that looking was never mine or the machine’s to give.
